Internship Program in Japan

This internship program is designed for university students in tourism, hospitality, or related fields, to gain real-world working experience in Japan’s service industry while learning Japanese work culture. Active student or graduate of D3/S1 (diploma/degree) in hospitality/tourism.

Purpose of the Program

  • Provide international work experience.
  • Improve Japanese language skills and customer service ability.
  • Prepare participants for a global career in hospitality.

  • Hotels (front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage)
Engineering Visa for Japan

(Officially: Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services Visa)

This is a type of work visa that allows foreign professionals to live and work in Japan in specialized fields. It is one of the most common visa types for those who want to work in Japan legally.

Visa Categories

This visa covers three main fields:

  • Engineer: Mechanical, electrical, civil, IT engineers, etc.
  • Specialist in Humanities: Economics, law, sociology, education, etc.
  • International Services: Translators, interpreters, language teachers, international PR, etc.

 

TOKUTEI GINOU

The Tokutei Ginou program is an official Japanese government work visa designed for foreign skilled workers in specific industries facing labor shortages.
This program is often seen as a next step or alternative to the Technical Intern Training Program/ Ginou Jisshuu, allowing qualified workers to work in Japan with better conditions and longer stays.

Types of Tokutei Ginou Visa

Specified Skilled Worker 1 (SSW-1)

For technical work in designated sectors, valid up to 5 years, family members are not allowed to accompany

Specified Skilled Worker 2 (SSW-2)

Higher level, family can accompany, and can lead to permanent residency

Ginou Jisshuu

This program is not a regular work visa, but a skills transfer program intended to help trainees return to their home countries and use the experience they gained in Japan.

Purpose of the Program

  • Transfer technical knowledge and work skills from Japan to developing countries.
  • Help participants experience the Japanese working environment and culture.
  • Contribute to human resource development in the participants’ home countries.

Japanese Language Courses at FJLS

 

We offer two types of classes:

  • Regular Class
  • Intensive Class

Regular Program N5

  • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 sessions per week)
  • Session Duration: 2 hours
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Regular Program N4

  • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 sessions per week)
  • Session Duration: 2 hours
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Intensive Program N5-N4 + JFT Basic A2 Preparation

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Daily Duration: 7 hours (including a 1-hour break)
  • Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

In addition, we also provide preparation classes for the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) exam.
Currently, the available SSW preparation classes are:

  • Building Cleaning
  • Food Processing
  • Aviation

The duration of the course is approximately 1 month.
Class schedules are adjusted according to students’ availability.

General Requirements

  • To apply for an Engineering visa, you generally need the following:

    1. Educational Background
    • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a field related to the job.
    • Graduates from Japanese vocational schools (senmon gakko) are also eligible if the field matches.
    1. Work Experience
    • If you don’t have a degree, you must have at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
    1. Japanese Language Ability
    • Not always required (especially in IT jobs), but having Japanese skills (e.g., JLPT N3 or above) is a big advantage.

Detail Engineering Visa for Japan

  • Application Process

    1. Get a job offer from a company in Japan.
    2. The company applies for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) at the Japanese Immigration Bureau.
    3. After the COE is issued, you apply for the visa at the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your home country.

    The process usually takes about 1 to 3 months.

  • Period of Stay and Extension

    • The visa is typically granted for 1, 3, or 5 years.
    • It can be renewed as long as you keep working in a qualifying position.
  • Benefits of This Visa

    • You can bring your spouse and children (under a Dependent Visa).
    • You may become eligible for Permanent Residency after several years of living and working in Japan.
